  • 1.1 lbs lentils
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 peeled tomatoes
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 carrot
  • Red pepper
  • Salt
  • Vinegar (optional)

Directions :

  • Put the lentils under the water, wash them well and boil them in low temperature for 10 minutes. Then drain them well
  • Pour oil in the pot and saute the onion and the carrot 
  • Add tomatoes (crashed), water and boil them in a low temperature. Pour the lentils, add garlic, bay leaves, salt and little pepper cover the pot and continue cooking for 15 minutes, or until the lentils are soft but not completely mushy.

Note: You can add vinegar to each plate individually, it gives a stronger taste.
